The governors are seeking to appoint an imaginative, inspirational and highly enthusiastic class teacher to help us build on the school’s expansion, rapid successes and its continued progression to OFSTED grading outstanding.  This exciting role would be suitable to a newly qualified teacher (NQT).  The position is a permanent appointment, subject to the relevant probationary period.

Working as part of the central finance team, the Finance Apprentice will play a key role in delivering a high quality finance service to the Trust’s schools.

Duties to include:

  • Completing the apprenticeship training programme
  • Attending in-house training and meetings as required
  • Raising orders and processing invoices
  • Entering bank transactions
  • Working with schools to ensure outstanding debts are followed up
  • Monitoring grant income
  • Reviewing the accounts and providing analysis as required
  • Support in the preparation of VAT returns
  • Support in the operation of the PS Financials accounting package and other finance systems in use in the Trust
  • Assisting with the preparation of other financial reports and returns as required
  • Providing support to all areas of the finance team
  • Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with all relevant financial procedures
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Providing general clerical support for the office including photocopying, filing, updating and maintenance of records
