Branston C of E Infant Academy, part of the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT), has been highly praised in its latest SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) report for its exemplary Christian ethos, which enables both children and adults to flourish.
The SIAMS inspection highlighted that the school’s “thoughtfully considered Christian vision inspires pupils and adults to be ‘the best they can be’. It shapes daily life and enables the school community to flourish. Love, kindness and respect permeate throughout the building and into the local community.”
The report also recognised the strong relationship between the school and its Trust: “Staff thrive professionally due to the ‘I see you’ approach of the multi-academy trust (MAT) and school. Training, including leadership development, empowers staff to grow in confidence in their roles. The school is professionally generous, sharing best practice across the MAT and beyond. This enables the vision to have an impact beyond the walls of the school.”
The SIAMS inspector further commended the “palpable climate of love and kindness which extends into the wider community. Consequently, individuals are cherished and respected. Pupils are excited to learn and well prepared for the future as a result of the carefully crafted curriculum.”
Additionally, the report praised the school’s curriculum, noting: “The vision-driven curriculum, enriched by diverse extra-curricular activities and themed days, provides an engaging educational journey. It facilitates spiritual growth and fosters a love of learning.”
Commenting on the report, Jackie Waters-Dewhurst, LAAT CEO said: “We are incredibly proud of Branston C of E Infant Academy and the whole school community. This outstanding SIAMS report recognises not only the dedication of staff and leaders but also the positive impact of our Trust’s support and collaboration. It is a wonderful affirmation of the school’s Christian vision in action.”
Lianne Cook, Headteacher added: “This report reflects the hard work, care, and commitment of our staff, pupils, and families. At Branston, our vision is to ensure every child and adult can flourish, and it is heartening to see this recognised by SIAMS. We look forward to continuing to nurture a community built on love, kindness, and respect.”
