Canon Peter Hall CofE Primary School celebrated in outstanding SIAMS report

Canon Peter Hall Church of England Primary School has been commended in its latest SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) report for living up to its foundation as a Church school, fostering a nurturing environment that allows pupils and adults alike to thrive.

The report highlights the school’s exceptional commitment to the wellbeing of its community, noting that “The kindness and support shown by adults in the school community towards pupils and their families play a crucial role in enhancing their wellbeing. This nurturing environment helps staff, pupils, and their families to feel appreciated and recognised.”

One of the key elements praised was the school’s Collective Worship, which was described as bringing a “joyful focus” to each day, inspiring the entire school community to live out its vision and values in meaningful ways. The inspector remarked that Collective Worship “significantly influences the behaviour and mindset of the school community, enabling adults and pupils to flourish spiritually.”

SIAMS also highlighted the strength of the school’s partnerships, including collaborations with the parish church, the diocese, local businesses, and other schools within the Trust, as well as the impactful Light in Africa project. These relationships were noted as “deeply enriching lives, nourishing collective worship, and the wider curriculum.”

Religious education (RE) was identified as another area of excellence, with the report commending the school’s thoughtfully designed curriculum and the strong leadership in this area. By exploring diverse worldviews, pupils develop respect and understanding for different beliefs, fostering confidence in their own identities and convictions.

Headteacher, Tracey Grove, expressed her pride:

“I am delighted with the outcome of our recent SIAMS inspection as it really showcases all of the hard work, dedication, and care that our staff give to our pupils and school, and the support provided by our Trust. It is a real validation of all of the hard work that everyone has put into our school.”

Jackie Waters-Dewhurst, CEO of Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust, added:

“Canon Peter Hall CofE Primary School perfectly reflects our Trust’s vision for education. This SIAMS report highlights the incredible teamwork between the Trust, the school’s leadership, and its staff, all dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment that aligns with our Christian values.”
