RE-IMAGINING OUR APPROACHES IN SCHOOLS SO THAT ALL CHILDREN FLOURISH

For this year’s conference LAAT is working with Independent Thinking to deliver an exceptional line-up of charismatic speakers with the power to challenge and inspire. Together we will be exploring the relational approach to transforming learning and experiences for children and adults in order to ensure that all of our children in Greater Lincolnshire have the greatest possible chances in life.

Joining us to open the conference will be Andy Wolfe, Executive Director of Education, Church of England and acclaimed author. Andy has a wealth of leadership experience and currently oversees nationally the programmes, networks and research of the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership – working with thousands of school leaders across the country. Andy is committed to combining rich theological reflection with the most incisive and creative approaches to improving Teaching, Learning and Leadership in schools.

Expert Speakers

This year’s speakers have a broad spectrum of experience in the education sector and will be sharing their creative ideas, stories and strategies to inspire, motivate and challenge our thinking.

Nina Jackson

Nina’s work in the area of mental health and well-being has had an overwhelming impact on children, teachers and parents alike. With a background in mainstream and special needs education and many years of experience in schools as a pedagogical and pastoral champion, Nina has a breath-taking grasp of what makes classrooms – and all the people in them – tick.

Jim Roberson

Chances are you won’t have met a Jim Roberson before – and once you have, it’s something we guarantee will leave its mark, as it has for thousands of young people and their teachers. Drawing on his experience as a professional sportsman and coach, and his experience working both in schools and outside, Jim has supported some of the country’s most vulnerable and demanding young people.

Dave Whitaker

Dave is Director of Learning for the Wellspring Academy Trust with its 29 schools across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire and also leads ‘Positive Regard’, the Trust’s behaviour outreach and training arm.  Providing support to SEMH special schools, PRUs and Alternative Provision, Dave offers valuable insights around behaviour and supporting children from some of the UK’s most challenging backgrounds.

Anthony Daulphin

Founder of Standing Ovation. Anthony works with schools to raise the self-esteem and confidence of children through the creative arts and pastoral support.

Register now to attend what promises to be a truly memorable and engaging event for Executive Heads, Heads, SENDCos and all staff leading schools and those involved in working with and supporting our most vulnerable children’, the conference aims to inspire, motivate and challenge our thinking.
