Education leader with proven results joins St Peter’s

St Peter’s C of E Primary School, part of Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT), is delighted to welcome Ann-Marie Wilson to the Senior Leadership Team following the Easter break. Ann-Marie has been with LAAT as both a headteacher and an Executive Headteacher in schools in LAAT’s Northern Hub.

Born and raised in the area, Ann-Marie has dedicated her entire career to serving schools across North East Lincolnshire. Her deep understanding of the local area and commitment to inclusive, high-quality education make her an ideal fit for St Peter’s as the school continues its journey of growth and excellence.

A passionate educator and proven school leader, Ann-Marie has built a strong reputation for raising standards, strengthening school communities, and ensuring every child reaches their full potential. She brings with her over 20 years of teaching experience, a wealth of demonstrable leadership expertise, and a National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL).

Most recently, she led a remarkable turnaround in KS2 attainment at another school, driving outcomes from 26% to an impressive 91% in just two years. This far exceeded the national expected standard of 61% and placed the school second highest in North East Lincolnshire for 2024.

Ann-Marie is also a qualified and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO), a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), well-versed in Early Help strategies – ensuring children and families receive timely support when facing challenges. “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the St Peter’s community. I look forward to working in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, and governors to continue building a nurturing and ambitious school where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.” Says Ann-Marie.

LAAT CEO, Jackie Waters-Dewhurst commented, “Ann-Marie’s track record of raising standards, coupled with her deep-rooted understanding of the local context, will be a tremendous asset to St Peter’s. We look forward to seeing the school flourish as she works with school leaders, staff, pupils and of course parents and the community.”
