Glowing Ofsted Report for Spalding Parish CofE school

Spalding Parish Church of England School is an “exceptional place for all pupils to thrive” according to its latest Ofsted report. The school received an ‘outstanding’ grade in four out of the five inspection areas. Ofsted inspectors highlighted that “pupils’ behaviour is exemplary”, and noted that “Classrooms buzz with purposeful learning.”

Spalding Parish provides an excellent start to education for children. Ofsted reported, “Children in the early years get off to an exceptional start,” and recognised that “Pupils leave school at the end of Year 6 as thoughtful and knowledgeable individuals. They are extremely well prepared to embrace the challenges of the next stage of their education.”

The leadership at Spalding Parish received high praise from Ofsted. Inspectors remarked, “Leaders are relentless in their endeavour to develop pupils into responsible citizens of the world.” The school’s ambitious curriculum was also commended for meeting the needs of pupils effectively, and being underpinned by key ‘drivers’, focused on impacting the school, the local community, and the wider world positively.

Since joining the Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust (LAAT) in 2019, Spalding Parish has experienced a remarkable journey of improvement. Ofsted acknowledged this impressive partnership, stating, “The school and trust unite to ensure an exceptional and memorable school experience for each and every pupil. Support and oversight from the trust have been instrumental in the school’s success.” LAAT CEO, Jackie Waters-Dewhurst, expressed her pride, “I’m so proud of Spalding Parish, the head, teachers, support staff, the pupils, and the wider community. It’s a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together.”

Headteacher Diane Mulley commented, “I am delighted that Ofsted has recognised all the exceptional work going on at the school. I am fortunate enough to experience the special place that Spalding Parish is daily and am always very proud to be part of this unique community. I am thrilled that during the inspection this was very clear to inspectors too and they recognised all the brilliant things in place as part of our school provision.”
