As part of the Trust’s 10 year anniversary celebrations in 2023 LAAT has set up the Love As Action – Together Fund, our very own charity aimed at supporting school children who are lacking the things they need to access confidently the full life of school and the curriculum.
Funds are made available to school leaders so they can respond directly to the identified needs of individual pupils. The fund can be used to provide stationery, coats, school uniform or PE kit, lunchboxes, cookery ingredients, art or maths equipment or a bike if this means a child can get to school and access the curriculum fully.
We know that families are struggling and this is becoming all the more evident. At LAAT we want to do all we can to enable every child to live life in all its fullness and participate in school activities alongside their peers equitably. The Love As Action – Together Fund will be a lived-out expression of the Trust’s commitment to all children and our vision. We pray that the funds will meet the very real social needs in our schools and be witness to the generosity of God through his people.
By March 2026 the team at LAAT had raised over £26,000 for the Love As Action – Together fund. This money has been put to excellent use supporting our pupils and families from schools across the Trust. Items purchased have included:
