Smart moves: CEO Jackie WD goes the extra mile in Bella the Smart Car!

In 1985, Phil Collins had Concorde so that he could perform in both Philadelphia and London for Live Aid… Anneka Rice had a helicopter to complete her challenges in Challenge Anneka back in the 80s and 90s.

Our CEO, Jackie WD… has… her Smart car! And yet on Tuesday 3rd September this year she got round to all 4 hubs during our Trust inset day to make sure that she was able to give her encouragement and thanks to every single member of the LAAT team: cleaners, caretakers, office staff, TAs, teachers, school leaders and the central team. Whether they work 3 hours a week or full time and in whatever capacity everyone was together for a whole day of workshops, inspiration, and an outworking of the trusts guiding belief in equity.

Jackie and her trusty steed Bella the Smart car, drove 175 miles, taking 4 hours and 14 minutes, across Greater Lincolnshire. Taking in Immingham,  Ruskington,  Stickney and  Spalding, delivering a message to nearly 700 staff members, 23 LAAT schools (including two schools who were able to join us for the day prior to them entering the LAAT tribe in November), and the central team. Joining inspirational speakers, workshop leaders and the Executive Leadership team for a day which included something for everyone as well as awards for all who had completed a qualification over the preceding year.

Bella The Smart Car may not be a Jaguar but she has the heart of a Lion, the loyalty of a labrador and the strength of an elephant. She just keeps on giving in true LAAT style and we love her!
