Tattershall Holy Trinity CofE Primary School proudly retained its ‘Good’ rating following a recent Ofsted inspection. It achieved ‘Good’ across all five key areas: ‘Quality of Education,’ ‘Personal Development,’ ‘Leadership and Management,’ ‘Behaviour and Attitudes,’ and ‘Early Years Provision.’
The report highlighted that “Pupils are happy and enjoy learning” and commended the school’s curriculum as “broad and ambitious,” ensuring pupils have regular opportunities to revisit and embed essential knowledge.
The school, which currently has spaces in some year groups, was praised for its commitment to providing rich and diverse extracurricular activities, stating, “Pupils have a wide range of opportunities that develop their interests and character. For example, many pupils attend different sports clubs, choir, ‘military kids club,’ and ‘nature club.’ Pupils enjoy attending forest school. They are proud to take up the leadership opportunities the school provides, such as roles as librarians, prefects, behaviour ambassadors, and members of the school and collective worship councils.”
The inspection also highlighted the school’s efforts to promote pupils’ personal development, noting it as “highly effective,” particularly in teaching pupils how to stay safe online and in the community.
“The school is well-led and managed.” Ofsted recognised the hard and effective work of the school and its Trust (The Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust) to ensure the school continues to improve. It found that staff were proud to work at the school and appreciated how leaders were considerate of their workload and well-being. Ofsted was also impressed with those responsible for governance and their provision of effective challenge and support.
Head of School, Donna Kaynes expressed pride in the outcome, stating: “This outcome reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire school community. Our staff, pupils, and families work together to create a positive and inspiring learning environment. We are especially proud of the recognition for our curriculum and personal development opportunities, which help our pupils thrive both academically and personally.”
Jackie Waters-Dewhurst, LAAT CEO, also praised the achievement: “This Ofsted report is a testament to the hard work, commitment and collaboration of the LAAT tribe. We are a community dedicated to providing outstanding support to ensure all LAAT schools continue to flourish. I couldn’t be prouder of Tattershall’s leadership team, staff, pupils, parents and wider community.”
