Following a recent Ofsted monitoring visit to St Peter’s Church of England Primary School, part of LAAT, the Trust is pleased to share that the visit was highly positive. Ofsted recognised that, since the graded inspection in April 2025, the school has undergone significant and positive change.
Inspectors praised the swift appointment of a highly experienced Headteacher, Miss Wilson, redeployed from within the Trust, highlighting her “determination to improve the school at pace.” They reported that parents, pupils and staff now hold an increasingly positive view of the school and that staff morale has improved.
Ofsted commented “school and trust leaders have acted swiftly”, acknowledging that, together, leaders from the school and the Trust have developed a clear, ambitious and well-considered improvement plan focused on safeguarding, behaviour, attendance, reading and provision for pupils with SEND. Early actions are already having a meaningful impact. Safeguarding culture has been strengthened, behaviour routines are improving, and pupils are increasingly engaged in their learning. Parents, staff and pupils are expressing renewed confidence in the school’s direction, supported by rising staff morale and a shared commitment to continued progress.
Support from Trust leaders and the Diocese of Lincoln’s Education Advisory Team has further strengthened staff training and curriculum development. While there is still more to do, the school is moving forward with determination and pace, demonstrating clear early signs of improvement and a strong commitment to delivering the best possible outcomes for every pupil.
