Two new schools welcomed into the LAAT tribe

Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust is thrilled to announce that two new schools have chosen to join the Trust. Fourfields Sutterton CofE Primary School and Swineshead St Marys CofE Primary School, previously part of the Emmaus Federation, were formally welcomed into the Trust on 1 November 2024.

Both schools serve families in the Boston area; Fourfields, in Sutterton, and St Mary’s in Swineshead. The schools have developed a curriculum to inspire and excite their learners through a topic based approach that sets learning in a tangible context. Pupils also enjoy a rich timetable of extracurricular activities from Kwik cricket to tag rugby and from sewing to coding.

Reception class children at both Fourfields Sutterton and Swineshead St Mary’s participate in Forest School, an outdoor learning program designed to foster children’s holistic development. Through a blend of child-led play, exploration, and structured learning activities, Forest School encourages social, physical, and cognitive growth, supporting students as they gain valuable skills and build confidence in a natural setting.

As part of LAAT, the schools will benefit from a wide range of support and opportunities, including dedicated Education Development Adviser time to drive improvement and progress, senior and middle leader networks and professional development training, as well as finance and operations advice.

Claire Collett, Executive Head, shared, “Our whole community is delighted to join the LAAT family. The Trust’s values and future vision perfectly align with our own. Together, we will continue to support our pupils, staff, and parents in achieving their best. Exciting times lie ahead, and we’re thrilled our journey has begun.”

Jackie Waters-Dewhurst, CEO of LAAT, echoed this enthusiasm: “We are delighted to welcome both schools into the LAAT tribe. Over the past year, we’ve seen that our shared vision for children and young people is a powerful foundation. Together, we look forward to creating positive change for pupils and families and making a meaningful impact in the local community.”
